And now presenting.......

Ok in the last few weeks we have been working on a presentation for a Ted Talk on our design. The next we  are going to do to our hovercraft is try out an idea that Wolf had. Put a balloon filled with helium around the edge of the hovercraft so that when it flies of the ground it stays in the air.

I know that I didn't mention this last blog but the mattress inflater was powerful enough to inflate the skirt and lift the packet of four D-battery required to power it.

We finally got the hovercraft off the ground with a with something much more powerful than the wimpy little computer cooler. A mattress inflater. Also we made our new hovercraft with the skirt holes NOT directly below the fan. Here is how well it works:

Powering up

Hello it is Jonah again with another blog. Last weekend I went to a store where they sell R.C. vehicles and got a rechargeable  lithium polymer battery that is light weight and provides more power than a bunch of 9 volt batteries. Now we need to figure out how to get it to send power to all of the parts of the hovercraft that need it.

Our model

Hello I am writing to say how it went building a working model hovercraft. So far we have managed to find a computer fan that will lift the hovercraft into the air. Also we have managed to modify a USB cable so that we can use it to get power from much stronger sources. Also we made a light foam body for all of the electronics to go on. Also hear is a cool YouTube video about hovercrafts.
